The Pangaea Project Benefit

Setting the Stage for a BIG JAM with old friends and new

April 22nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

Hey Friends,

Matt the conductor here…

The Pangaea Project shows have always been special in the world of EO. This year is no exception as the lineup is full of some of my favorite players to make music with:  locals Darol Anger, Scott Law, Asher Fulero, Jans Ingber and Tye North, mixing it up with other EO alumni: Michael Kang, Jeff Sipe, Stanton Moore and some players new to the fold; Steve Berlin from Los Lobos and James Beaton from Storm and the Balls.  We’ll also be joined by MarchFourth Marching Band leader John Avril on vocals as he heads “the M4 singers”  to add some harmony and pizzazz to the Orchestra.  Plus our favorite local live painters, and….well, I can’t tell you any more of I’d be giving away all the surprises.

The history of musical collaboration and friendship between this years participants runs deep and I thought it would be fun to share and discuss all the ways we are connected.

Tomorrow: The Six Degrees of the Pangaea Project Benefit with The Everyone Orchestra.

For now though, I must retire to the rehearsal chamber to fill up my dry erase pens, clean my white boards and do some Yoga. 1,2,3,4…..Good Night!

Matt
